Encrypted on your phone
Every card, field and photo is stored in an encrypted database, with the key protected by Android's secure hardware keystore.
Nobody else can read it
Drive sync is end-to-end encrypted with your own passphrase. Google stores only scrambled data, and we never see anything at all.
No screenshots
Screenshots and screen recording are blocked inside the app, and the app preview is hidden in your recent-apps list.
No servers, ads or tracking
Tasche has no backend, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party trackers. There is nothing to leak because we hold nothing.
Photos cleaned up
Location and camera details are stripped from every photo before it is encrypted and saved.
Only what it needs

Questions
Is Tasche really free?
Yes. There are no ads, no subscriptions and no in-app purchases.
Do I need an account?
No. Tasche works fully without signing in. A Google sign-in is only needed if you want to sync between phones through your own Google Drive.
Can Google or the developer see my cards?
No. Your data is encrypted on your phone. When you turn on Drive sync, it is encrypted with your own passphrase before upload, so Google only stores data it cannot read. We don't run any server and never receive your data.
What happens if I lose my phone?
Your cards are encrypted, and locked sections need their code. To get your cards back on a new phone, use Drive sync with your passphrase (or your recovery key), or import a backup you exported earlier.
What if I forget a section code?
You can reset it after confirming it's you with your phone's own screen lock or fingerprint.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. Everything is stored on the phone. Internet is only used for optional Drive sync.
Which phones are supported?
Android phones. Tasche is not available for iPhone.
Is it a replacement for my official documents?
No. Tasche is a personal copy to help you find and share details quickly. Always carry the original documents where the law requires them.
